State-of-the-Art Racing Facilities
The Quest Racing Complex features meticulously designed facilities that cater to both horses and participants. Our 1000-meter track is surfaced with premium granitic sand, providing optimal racing conditions year-round. The track design includes a 200-meter straight and gentle 100-meter turns, creating the perfect balance of speed and safety for the competitors.
Racing enthusiasts can enjoy various race distances, including 1609, 1690, 2190, 2690, and 3190 meters. This variety allows for different racing strategies and challenges, keeping the competition exciting for both participants and spectators.
Exceptional Horse Accommodation
106 Stall Complex
Our expansive stall complex provides comfortable accommodation for up to 106 horses, making it one of the largest facilities in regional Victoria. Each stall is designed with the welfare of the horses in mind, offering ample space and ventilation.
Comprehensive Washing Facilities
The complex features 6 spacious wash bays, allowing multiple horses to be cleaned and prepared simultaneously. These facilities ensure efficient preparation and care for horses before and after racing events.
All-Weather Protection
All facilities, including stalls, wash bays, and amenities, are housed under one roof, providing protection from the elements regardless of weather conditions and ensuring comfort for horses and handlers alike.
Race Format and Regulations
The Shepparton Harness Racing Club conducts all racing under the official rules of Harness Racing Victoria, ensuring fair competition and the highest standards of integrity in the sport.
Our races accommodate up to 7 horses across the front line for both mobile and standing starts. Field sizes can reach a maximum of 12 competitors for mobile start events and 11 for standing start races, creating exciting and competitive racing action for spectators and participants.
Regular trials are also conducted at the complex, providing valuable training opportunities for horses and drivers preparing for upcoming race meetings.
